Fairbanks Morse, an EnPro Industries company, is looking for a Solutions Sales Manager to join our Aftermarket team. (Remote Position with preference of Houston, TX.)
Responsible for securing Aftermarket Solutions sales (direct and indirect) in all market segments as well as the coordination of dedicated resource team activity, organization, and support for Solutions offerings. This role requires high motivation, a strong leadership orientation, and excellent communication skills in order to effectively lead cross functional teams to customer success. This is a highly visible position with a great opportunity to demonstrate leadership by driving successful customer outcomes.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Resource Team Execution

  • Manage dedicated team of resources in support of successful communication, execution, and launch of Solutions Offerings across all Market Segments
  • Issue Sales Orders in accordance with Standard Practices and assist in creating project management plans, project/contract budgets, billing plans, and schedules
  • Ensure compliance with departmental instructions, procedures and/or Standard Practices as necessary to implement the requirements of customer required processes or other specialized Quality Assurance processes; interfacing with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and any other affected department as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with other contractual terms and conditions, as well as Regulatory and Statutory compliance, as specified by the contract or other governing authorities. Establish procedures and/or proposed Standard Practices as necessary to implement the requirements; interfacing with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and any other affected department as necessary
  • Support a team environment that ensures alignment to company goals, objectives, and corporate values

Sales Activities
  • Responsible for Segment Revenue, Order Intake, and GM%
  • Responsible for selling direct to end user and supporting Market Segment Parts and Service Sales Managers in attaining Solutions Budget
  • Make sales calls (including cold calls) on customers to identify opportunities for new Solutions
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Present company background, experience and products to customers (Utilities, Engineering Firms, EPC Contractors), as well as various organizations, industry workshops or trade groups
  • Provide necessary information to customers including pricing, delivery and terms and conditions of sale - active selling is required
  • Coordinate communications with the Customer(s), end-user Customer, sub-contractors, and supplies as applicable, to assure a single point of contact between the organizations is maintained for the formal transmittal and receipt of contract documents
  • Coordinate interdepartmental specification review(s) and comment(s) as necessary to assure conformance with contract requirements and conformance with technical requirements
  • Provide support to the Project Engineer(s), Designer(s) and Field Service as required to successfully execute new projects, including turn-key jobs, hardware-only jobs, product upgrades and investigations, aftermarket parts sales and product user groups
  • Provide support to Segment Sales Manager and Sales Engineer in pursuit of new projects, customer initiated product upgrades and equipment investigations, aftermarket parts sales and product user groups
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, technical degree, or equivalent program management experience is required
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • A minimum of three years of experience in sales or sales management is required
  • Must possess demonstrated project management skills including an understanding of cost control, project organization, regulatory agency rules and processes.
  • Must possess a high degree of organization skills
  • Must be competent in the use of MS Office. Previous experience in use of Oracle or other ERP software is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to interface and gain trust cross functionally and effectively manage in a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and balance team and individual workloads through effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Requires up to 75% travel (May include Domestic and International travel)
  • This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. Therefore, to meet NOFORN requirement, you will have to provide proof of US Citizenship and attest that you do not have dual citizenship.
