Develops strategies around strategic portfolio content, profitability and placement of products and solutions. Creates and maintains product road maps and proactively manages the product lifecycle. Coordinates with global teams on collaborative product/services strategies. Gathers voice of customer feedback, market and competitive intelligence to depict strengths, weaknesses and needs within current and future markets. Applies research, to increase the profitability of existing products, and facilitate the development of new products and services to strengthen the profitability of the portfolio. Analyzes and understands Win/Loss of opportunities. Develop plans, processes and priorities around "Winning". Works with all required supporting departments, leading full execution and successful development and commercialization of products and programs. Leads team in development and execution of go to market strategies, identifies areas of weakness as well as gaps needed to support the launch of new products. Develops and implements market oriented initiatives that will position the organization for long-term success. Including target; Markets, Customers and Applications. Utilizes solution selling techniques to guide targeted solution portfolios to enter, grow and maintain within current and new markets. Facilitates Commercial strategic planning process with leadership team. Facilitates activities with required resources across organization. Participates in development of growth strategies including strategic partnerships and acquisitions. Analyzes and develops appropriate value and pricing strategies, structures and programs to assure maximized profitability, while optimizing business with market dynamics. Recommends manufacturing or procurement changes as required to modify cost structure as needed. Continually evaluates competitive conditions, technical advances, and market needs. Develops and conducts training programs on an individual or group basis for Garlock. Leads and manages on-line presence and portfolio information system development and maintenance. JOB SPECIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Marketing or equivalent experience. MBA preferred. Five years business experience at a managerial level within product management, sales, marketing, or engineering. Industry, customer, competitor, and product knowledge a plus. Ability to build, develop, and engage teams directly and indirectly. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead globally in and outside a matrix environment. Strong analytical skills to include market, product, and business. Proven ability to translate insights into a business plan and lead execution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on persuasive communication, tact, and negotiation.
