Summary

Serves as point of contact for clients on contractual matters; provides recommendations and negotiates directly with client attorneys or contracts group to reach consensus has been reached; provides guidance in contract matters to sales team, project managers, or other operational staff, to including training new project managers and other employees in contracting practices and procedures; develops and procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy; supports business development to ensure company services are offered with appropriate, competitive terms and conditions.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business practice compliance with requirements and regulations and develop solutions to identified gaps
  • Review purchase order and basic ordering agreement contracts to ensure ability to comply with requirements and cost projects appropriately
  • Resolve contract discrepancies and drive improved contract terms by managing the contract modification life cycle
  • Provide guidance to project team members on contracts administration, concepts and regulations
  • Stay current with new US Department of Defense rules, laws, and proposed legislation, and interpret the potential impact on current and future contracts


Qualifications and Educational Requirements
  • At least ten years of experience with technical specifications, contract review, or related activity with significant exposure to US Department of Defense procurement activities
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to interface with ITAR and NOFORN documentation
  • Subject matter expert and extensive experience with: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Defense Contracting Auditing Agency (DCAA) Compliance, Defense Contracting Management Agency (DCMA) Compliance
  • Proficient with typical office software
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate in either a succinctly or detailed manner and the ability to discern which is required
  • Experience drafting technical documentation such as instructions or control procedures
