Job Description
The Quality Engineer (QE) will mainly be responsible for defining the quality baseline to reflect the customer's requirements and Technetics' quality standards, by review of specifications, drawings, and manufacturing processes. The QE will have a critical role in interpreting quality requirements and translating them to support all phases of the manufacturing cycle, working closely with colleagues to initiate workable quality instructions and procedures. Additionally, the QE will be the primary Quality Function resource for the Technetics Solution Delivery System.


  • Review customer contracts and supporting documentation to ensure the company is meeting all flow down requirements
  • Ensure all customer quality requirements are passed down to suppliers
  • Work with Engineering to provide feedback and suggestions for Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA)
  • Determine appropriate measurement methods for all product characteristics
  • Generate detailed inspection plans that capture all product requirements
  • Create and review first article packages (FAIR)
  • Create PPAP documentation packages
  • Interface with customers to approve documentation packages
  • Coordinate QC requirements for Solution Delivery System parts that require outside services: receiving inspection, supplier quality, specifications, etc.
  • Inspection of parts with complex measurement techniques (Visual Systems, CMM)
  • Programming of complex measurement equipment (Visual Systems, CMM)
  • Serve as a backup and support in QC for inspection of normal production parts
  • Interface with design and manufacturing personnel to resolve problems before product flow is affected and excessive rework and scrap is generated
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints
  • Support QMS Audits, Customer Audits/Source Inspections/Visits
  • Actively participates on a Safety Team and follows all safety requirements
  • Takes part in continuous improvement initiatives and innovation ideation
  • Engages in daily production meetings and department ROPE walks
  • Utilizes an analytical, logical thought process and has meticulous attention to detail
  • Performs any other assigned duty as directed by manager

  • 2+ years of Quality experience in aerospace or automotive industries preferred
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Science
  • Knowledge of CMM Programming/ operation
  • Knowledge of GD&T and inspection techniques
  • Knowledge of Product Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and all related quality tools preferred.
  • Experience working with machined and formed metal products (CNC turning, milling, grinding, lapping, etc..)
  • Demonstrates great inter personal and communication
  • Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous
  • Knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment, coatings preferred
