Job Description
The Manufacturing Cost Analyst will be responsible for coordinating, directing, and leading efforts related to optimum costing of manufactured items. The primary focus will be to audit time studies for parts produced, work with purchasing on purchased items, and be able to provide the total cost of the part. They will also be responsible for reviewing margins to ensure with the commercial team that products being produced are being sold at acceptable margins.
Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain on sourced component costing
  • Identify any schedule or budget constrictions and how those will be resolved
  • Collect and monitor data, manage risk, identify (if necessary) contingency plan, control changes and communication. Measure and report on progress
  • Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor
  • Analyzing data collected and recording results
  • Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
  • Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
  • Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
  • Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
  • Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services
  • Maintaining Cost in ERP System

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 solid years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience with ERP System, Epicor Preferred but not required
  • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards
  • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Ability to understand drawings and/or process routings to follow a process throughout the manufacturing facility
  • Ability to evaluate and provide costing data on components including direct material, labor, and burden
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic working environment and working with a diverse team
  • Proficient Computer Skills including Microsoft Excel and other Office Programs, experience using google applications preferred but not required
  • Proficient with computer programs and a working knowledge of new technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication Skills
  • Must comply and honor CPI safety policies at all times
